The Prime Minister Hon. James Marape, has congratulated Mr. Apeo Fuata Sione as the new Chairman of the Public Services Commission.

New Chairman of PSC, Mr Apeo Sione
The Prime Minister said Mr. Sione was appointed by the Public Services Commission Appointments Committee for a period of five effective as of April 23, 2020.
“Mr. Sione comes with a wealth of experience in dealing with employee relations and welfare,” Mr Marape said.
Mr Sione served in the public service for 23 three years in senior management role; one with the Department of Labour and Industrial Relations, two years with the Ombudsman Commission and 20 years with the Public Services Commission.
“In his time with the PSC, he served as a Commissioner and also in various investigative, review and management capacities.”
The Prime Minister commends the Public Services Commission Appointment Committee for their appointment of Mr. Sione, who is knowledgeable on public service matters.
Mr. Apeo Fuata Sione comes from the Mortlock Atolls of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville and holds a Masters of Public Policy Degree with Merit from the Australian National University.
