Papua New Guinea has recorded no new cases of COVID-19 Centre in the last 24 hours ending midday today (10 May 2022).
However, the number of cumulative cases has increased to 43, 839 while 43,189 persons have recovered from the virus..
In its latest COVID-19 updates, the National Control Centre, has also confirmed 651 deaths, while the Delta and Omicron variant cases remain at 741 and 508 respectively.
In the meantime, the cumulative Covid-19 statistics for the 22 provinces are as follows:
– NCD – 11774 cases, 11666 recoveries, 102 deaths;
– Western – 3746 cases, 3712 recoveries, 33 deaths;
– Western Highlands – 3137 cases, 3055 recoveries, 79 deaths;
– Eastern Highlands – 2745 cases, 2623 recoveries, 120 deaths;
– Morobe – 2605 cases,2553 recoveries, 52 deaths;
– East New Britain – 2390 cases, 2359 recoveries, 31 deaths;
– Madang – 1787 cases, 1754 recoveries, 33 deaths;
– Milne Bay – 1580 cases, 1574 recoveries, five deaths;
– Southern Highlands – 1303 cases, 1250 recoveries, 53 deaths;
– Central – 1275 cases, 1269 recoveries, two deaths;
– West New Britain – 1244 cases, 1238 recoveries, six deaths;
– Enga – 1239 cases, 1232 recoveries, seven deaths;
– Autonomous Region of Bougainville – 1201 cases, 1182 recoveries, 19 deaths;

Globally, there have been 515,192, 979 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Monday 9 May 2022, including 6,254,140 cumulative deaths.
