How to apply for a SOE Travel Permit for all intending domestic travelling public

1. Places to get a Domestic Travel Application Form;

a) Direct request to:

b) Visit any airline sales office (Air Niugini, PNG Air, Tropic Air, travel agents)

c) Air Niugini clients can download from Air Niugini Website; airniugini.com.pg

2. All local airlines are aware of the current domestic travel arrangements under SOE Order 7 (22, 23)

3. Once you have accessed the forms; It is important to;

a) Complete the application form in detail and accurately

b) attach any current form of ID (school, driver license, work, NID, Passport)

c) for person without valid IDs, they can use a sponsor as the point of contact for verifications

4. All completed application forms can be sent to the following;

a) If you applied directly to the ATD NOC desk covid19-travel@police.gov.pg. You will receive your pass from the ATD NOC desk via mentioned email;

b) If you have applied through the airlines, your approval will be sent to through to the airline’s sales offices, which they will inform you accordingly;

c) Incomplete forms will result in automatic disapproval of travel

5. It is important to note that travel is allowed under SOE order 7 (22) and reasons for travel must fall under these categories:

a) Students returning to place of residence (one-way ticket to be issued)

b) Persons returning to their place of residence (one-way ticket to be issued)

c) Essential Services

d) Essential business travel; and

e) Emergency transport, including but no limited to medical evacuations

6. Verifications, processing and approval process takes up to 48 hours prior to issuance of SOE Travel permit.
