Police Commissioner and Controller of the National Pandemic Response, David Manning  has confirmed that the National Control Centre has not reported  any new positive COVID-19 cases  in the last 24 hours ending 12 midday on Sunday August 15, 2021.

However,  the number of COVID-19 cases in Papua New Guinea  still remains at 17,832 with 192 known deaths, while 94,419 people have  been vaccinated so far.

In the same period, there are 98 active cases while 261 tests are awaiting laboratory results.
