Papua New Guinea’s COVID-19 case count has reached 43,203 as of Friday 25 March 2022, following 24 new cases reported in country in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were reported in Milne Bay (10), Jiwaka (seven), Hela (four) and the National Capital District (three),
According to the latest Covid-19 updates from the National Control Centre, a total of 42,398 people have recovered from the virus, while the death toll has increased to 640.
In the same report, the Delta variant cases have increased to 741 while Omicron variant cases rose to 264.
In the meantime, the cumulative Covid-19 statistics for the 22 provinces are summarized below:
– NCD – 11689 cases, 11536 recoveries, 102 deaths, 207 delta cases, 136 Omicron cases;
