52 new Covid-19 cases recorded in six provinces increasing total to 10,602

Fifty-two new cases of Covid-19  were recorded in six provinces, as of Friday, 23 April, 2021 increasing Papua New Guinea’s total  number of positives to 10,602.

Of the 52 cases, Madang recorded 14; West Sepik, 1; Eastern Highlands 8; West New Britain, 11; and the  Autonomous Region of Bougainville, 17.

Deaths from Covid-19 were recorded in the following provinces: National Capital District (NCD),  64 ; Western province 3; Milne Bay  5; Morobe  3; Easy Sepik 2; West Sepik 3;  Eastern Highlands  8; Jiwaka 5; Enga, 1; East New Britain  1; West New Britain 4; and New Ireland  2.

The cumulative total  of cases in the 22 provinces are as follows:
